Art therapy is a mental health profession that uses the creative process of art-making to improve and enhance the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of individuals of all ages.
Through creating art and reflecting on the process, people can increase self-awareness, cope with stress and trauma, improve cognitive function, and experience the life-affirming joys of making art.

Before FrameShare, I found various ways to conduct art therapy, but this platform has opened a whole new window of possibilities. It allows me to engage with children through digital tools they truly love, while providing essential continuity — a sense of stability and a safe setting even during times of displacement. I have already recommended it to several colleagues, who have found it to be a valuable asset in their own practices.
What makes FrameShare unique is that it was created specifically with art therapists in mind. Most telehealth platforms offer creative tools as an afterthought, if they offer them at all. FrameShare feels intentionally built around the role of art-making in therapy. I would absolutely recommend it to art therapists, especially those working remotely with children and adolescents or clients who benefit from having multiple avenues for self-expression.
FrameShare creates new capabilities — digital drawing at the same time, easy access to save client's virtual artworks, collaborative art-making that feels like a non-verbal psychological connection happening organically. It is a new type of emotional and psychological attunement that can happen digitally. FrameShare makes this possible.
Remote art therapy was challenging before FrameShare. This platform allows me to see my clients' artwork being created in real time — it gives me deeper insight into their process. There is no other online platform where I can collaborate on artwork alongside my clients this way. I can use any modality or intervention with it, with clients of all ages.
For research, FrameShare has filled a gap that has been longstanding — providing reach, quality of engagement, and systematized yet flexible data output. Being able to have conversations with the founders and ask for elements that integrated with the data I was looking to compare has been really great. It is a giant step in closing the gap for understanding how art therapy works.
